Central Illinois Breaking Records With Women Running For Office

(Springfield, IL) — On the eve of the consolidated election, Sangamon County is breaking records with more women running for office than ever before. More than 100 women throughout the county are vying for a political position, varying from city and village offices to positions on school, library, and park boards. The election follows a national trend for more women in politics.
