(Medina, OH) — A man from Medina, Ohio, is accused of posing as an Illinois boy who’s been missing for years. Police say 23-year-old Brian Rini approached someone Wednesday in Newport, Kentucky and claimed to be Timmothy Pitzen, who disappeared from Aurora, Illinois in 2011. Jonathan Rini told reporters that his brother has a history of mental illness.
Rini has been in trouble before for things like walking out on bar tabs and passing bad checks. He went to prison last year after being convicted of burglary and vandalism, and was just released on probation last month. Rini is currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.
