An investigation is underway into the death of a Mason woman. According to the Effingham County Coroner’s office, 24-year-old Elizabeth Buening was found unresponsive yesterday morning. She was taken to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, where she died. The cause of death is undetermined at this time. An autopsy and toxicology tests are scheduled for today.
