Urbana Reimbursed For Police Body Cameras

(Urbana, IL) — The Urbana Police Department is getting reimbursed for part of the cost for body cameras purchased earlier this year. The city council voted last night to accept the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Grant. The grant will cover just over half of the cost, and the funds will replace money from the vehicle equipment replacement fund used in the original purchase.
