UPDATED: One Student Dead In Colorado School Shooting
(Highlands Ranch, CO) — Multiple media outlets report that one student is dead after a school shooting in Colorado. Several other students were injured in the shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch just south of Denver this afternoon. Two suspects are under arrest. Both are said to be students at the school, but one of is believed to be at least 18-years-old. Earlier, Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said the two shooters got deep into the school and opened fire at two locations there. All the suspects who were injured are at least 15 years old. Federal investigators are on the scene to assist with the investigation.

UPDATED: Shots Fired At School South Of Denver
(Highlands Ranch, CO) — Police in Colorado are telling parents not go near a school south of Denver after shots were fired there this afternoon. The situation at STEM School Highlands Ranch is still active and fluid. Douglas County Undersheriff Holly Nicholson-Kluth confirmed that multiple students have been injured and that two suspects are in custody. Nicholson-Kluth said there is a tentative third suspect. Numerous SWAT officers are on scene going room-to-room, clearing classrooms and getting students to safety.

(Highlands Ranch, CO) — First responders are going classroom to classroom after a school shooting south of Denver. The situation at STEM School Highlands Ranch is still very fluid after initial reports of perhaps several shooters. The Douglas County Sheriff’s office says at least two people were injured at the kindergarten through 12th grade school. Other reports say one person is in custody and police were looking for two other suspects. Another suspect is reportedly being “engaged” by police. The sheriff’s office tweeted it was an “unstable situation.” The STEM charter school is on lockdown and every other school in Douglas County is on lockout.
