UPDATE:
According the Illinois State Police, a car driven by 19-year-old Korbin Barrett was westbound on Route 133 near 500 East in Douglas County when he crossed the center line and into the path of a school bus driven by 61-year-old Sherry Bare. The bus was carrying 25 elementary school students and four adult chaperones. Barrett struck the bus head-on and had to be extricated from his vehicle. Barrett, and one adult and one student from the school bus were transported to area hospitals. All other students and chaperones were taken from the scene by another school bus. No charges have been filed, pending an investigation. Illinois State Police reminds you that all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Arcola Elementary School students have been reunited with their families after an accident on Route 133 just west of Arcola. The Arcola Jr. Sr. High School Facebook page posted an update with the details:

A bus with first grade students from Arcola Elementary School was coming back from a field trip on Route 133 west of Arcola, when the bus was struck by a vehicle head on.
One student and one adult passenger on the bus were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
All other students were checked out by emergency response personnel and all students have been reunited with their families.
Parents and legal guardians were contacted immediately after the accident via the School Reach communication system.
There were several adults on board the bus, including staff, parent chaperones, and the bus driver.
More information will be released after reunification has been completed and more details are known.
