UPDATED: Tim Conway Dead
(Los Angeles, CA) — Actor Tim Conway is dead at the age of 85. Conway’s representative said he died today in Los Angeles from water on the brain. Conway was born in Ohio, and left the Army to start working in radio. He then moved on to television, and landed minor roles before becoming a regular role in the Steve Allen Show. He landed the role of Ensign Parker in the long-running World War Two sitcom, McHale’s Navy, in 1962. He then landed his own Tim Conway show and the Tim, Conway Comedy Hour in 1970. He found real fame after joining the Carol Burnett Show in 1975, and went on to win four Emmy Awards. The dozens of other shows and movies he played in over the years included Dorf on Golf, The Simpsons, CSI and Spongebob Squarepants. Conway was married twice and had six children.
