Tomorrow (5/18) is spring clean-up day in Mattoon.
Roll-off bins will be at the yard waste facility from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Scrap metals can be dropped off at Mervis Industries, Neal Tire & Auto will accept car and light truck tires, and Battery Specialists will take rechargeable batteries, no alkaline.
In addition, Thrivent Financial will offer document shredding from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran School. In lieu of the shredding fee, they would appreciate a non-perishable food donation for the Mattoon Community Food Center. Harris Metals and Recycling will also be at St. John’s School, accepting electronics, excluding TVs and computer monitors.
