One Hurt In Early Morning Shooting In Champaign
(Champaign, IL) — One person is hurt after a shooting in Champaign. The shooting happened early yesterday morning in the 500-block of East Vine Street. Police say two men were sitting inside a van when a suspect approached and fired into the vehicle before running away. Officers learned that a 22-year-old man was at the hospital with non-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound connected to the incident. Investigators don’t believe the shooting was random.
