Gaming Expansion Passes IL Senate

(Springfield, IL) — A gaming expansion is headed to Governor J.B. Pritzker’s desk. Rockford, Waukegan, Williamson County, Danville, and Chicago are all communities that would be allowed to operate land-based casinos. The bill would also allow slot machines at O’Hare and Midway airports, and sports betting would be legalized. Betting on Illinois college teams would still be banned.
