HOPE of East Central Illinois is calling for auditions for “HOPE You Got Talent!”
We believe there are a whole bunch of talented folks out there of all ages who would like to win some cash for their talent. Whether its singing, dancing, acting, duets, instrumentals, juggling, ventriloquists or the junior class garage band, we are inviting anyone in the area to open auditions beginning May 15 and running until September 1, 2019.
Post your video online (for instance on youtube.com, on your own site, some other video hosting site or anywhere on the web), and use the entry form on hope-eci.org/events/ to submit the link to us through email at info@hope-eci.org and follow the remaining instructions.
The public can vote by donating money in that one vote is one dollar. The most votes will promote the participants in to playing LIVE at “HOPE You Got Talent!” on September 28, 2019 during Family Weekend at EIU. The winner receives $500 cash and the runner up will score $250. The top ten participants who raises the most money will go on to perform LIVE at “HOPE You Got Talent!” and the votes taken at the event will choose the winner and the runner-up.
We are raising funds to help HOPE of East Central Illinois serve our community by helping individuals live non-violent lives through the provisions of Housing, Outreach, Prevention and Education. Last year, the services provided at HOPE helped more than 500 individuals receive support including women, men and children and more than two thousand of hotline calls were answered.
We wanted an event of this caliber to bring people together. When violence in our community seems to permeate our lives on a daily basis, we wanted a way to be inclusive of everyone in our community by bringing together amazing people with incredible talents, be it students, parents, or grandparents; our business partners who support us and the institutions that give us spaces to connect. We look forward to this opportunity to connect everyone in an incredibly happy event that celebrates the greatness in all of us.
