Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris will hold its first Mass since a fire devastated the historic landmark in April. The service Saturday evening will be small, about 20 to 30 people, because of safety concerns. It will be held in a side chapel that held the crown of thorns. The fire on April 15th destroyed the historic wooden roof and spire, but the main structure of the building was spared. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been pledged by donors around the world to rebuild the iconic cathedral.
