Two people were injured in a crash yesterday in Effingham County. According to the Illinois State Police, 58-year-old Carolyn Harris, of Sesser failed to slow down and struck a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Nathan Humphrey, of Midlothian, Virginia. Harris then crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a tractor-trailer driven by 54-year-old Steven Clary, of Olney. Harris, who was ticketed for improper lane usage, was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital. Humphrey was transported to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital.
