A Ramsey man is jailed in Fayette County after allegedly striking his grandmother with a golf club.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, 27-year-old Derek Trumbold had asked his 77-year-old grandmother for a ride to Oconee and she declined. He then reportedly struck her in the head with the golf club. Trumbold is being held on a count of attempted second degree murder.
The grandmother was treated and released at Fayette County Hospital.
