Two people were injured in a crash in Crawford County last night. According to the Illinois State Police, a tractor-trailer driven by James White, of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin failed to reduce speed and struck a tractor and baler driven by Robert Dammerman, of Marshall, causing them to overturn onto Route 1, blocking both lanes of traffic. The tractor-trailer jackknifed, and also blocked both lanes. White was ticketed for following too closely, failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident, and failure to retain previous 7 consecutive days of record of duty status. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, and Dammerman was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign.
