New Law Makes Harsher Penalties For Distracted Driving
(Springfield, IL) — A new law is creating harsher penalties for distracted driving. Starting today, drivers caught using any electronic device that’s not hands free will be charged with a moving violation. The move comes after car crashes related to distracted driving have continued to rise. After three citations in one year, a person’s license will be suspended.
