Police Searching For 911 Caller Who Made Threats Against Church
(Mattoon, IL) — Police are continuing to search for a 911 caller who made threats against a Mattoon church. A dispatcher took the call on March 6th from a person claiming to have pipe bombs and an M16 “ready to start shooting people” at Maranatha Baptist Church. So far, the chilling threats haven’t been carried out. Investigators have worked to trace the spoof number registered from the call, but haven’t had any success. The FBI is involved.
