U.S. Lawmakers Announce Funds For Peoria Mass Transit District
(Washington, DC) — U.S lawmakers are providing over two-million dollars in funding for the Greater Peoria Mass Transit District. Illinois Democratic U.S. Senators Tammy Duckworth and Dick Durbin were joined by Republican Congressman Darin LaHood and Democratic Congresswoman Cheri Bustos yesterday to announce the approval of the federal grant. The grant will be used to buy new low-emission transit buses and a charging station.
