State Fair Safety Precautions Following Mass Shooting
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois State Police are continuing their security preparations for the Illinois State Fair in Springfield. The staff is keeping in mind the recent mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California as they take precautions for the safety of those attending the fair. Plans for the security of this year’s fair began the day after last year’s fair ended. Besides violence concerns, ISP say they have contingency plans for children who get lost and go missing.
