New Law Requires Incoming High School Freshmen To Get Dental Exam
(Springfield, IL) — A new state law will require incoming high school freshmen in Illinois to get a dental exam. Previously, students were only required to get exams before kindergarten, second grade, and sixth grade. The Department of Public Health will have a waiver for children whose families may not be able to afford a dentist.
