Savoy Church To Hold Memorial Service For Yingying Zhang
(Savoy, IL) — A church in Savoy will be holding a memorial service for missing University of Illinois visiting scholar Yingying Zhang. The service is set for Monday afternoon at First Baptist Church in Savoy. The church’s pastor says the purpose of the service is to provide the Zhang family with a sense of closure before they return to China. Brendt Christensen was convicted last month of kidnapping and killing Zhang. Her remains have never been found.
