(Gilroy, CA) — The Medical Examiner’s office in Gilroy is ruling the Garlic Festival shooter’s death a suicide. A Santa Clara County coroner ruled today that Santino Legan [[ LEE-gan ]] shot himself to death. This contradicts earlier police reports that indicated officer’s shot the suspect after he opened fire with an assault rifle. Three people were killed and about a dozen were injured in last Sunday’s shooting.
