Pritzker Signs Bill Ending Medicaid Application Backlog

(Chicago, IL) — A new law is aimed at improving the application for Medicaid and lowering the number of Medicaid claims. Governor J.B. Pritzker signed legislation yesterday that centralizes claims from providers to Managed Care Organization. The MCOs then have 30 days to issue Medicaid payments. The new system also expedites payments to health care providers that serve large Medicaid populations.
