Illinois Red Flag Law Could Set Standard In Country

(Springfield, IL) — A new Red Flag law in Illinois could set a standard for the rest of the country. Illinois residents have been able to file a Firearms Restraining Order since January against family members they think could be harmful. An emergency order can last for 14 days. If a judge deems the threat credible, the order can be extended for six months. The sheriff’s office collects the guns.
