Report: Meth Is Making A Comeback In Rural Illinois
(Chicago, IL) — Opioids are still a problem in Illinois. But in some rural parts of the state meth is once again becoming a problem. A new report from the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority says police departments and sheriff’s offices are seeing a spike in meth arrests. White men under 40 who live in rural counties are most likely to be arrested for meth. Pike, Adams, and Hancock counties are three of the busiest meth counties in Illinois.
