Illinois Municipalities Seek Clarifications On Recreational Marijuana Legalization
(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois Municipal League is seeking clarifications on the upcoming recreational marijuana law. The League is asking leaders in the General Assembly to make clarifying changes to the law that takes effect January 1st. The municipalities are confused about how law enforcement will know if a person growing cannabis at home is doing so legally. They are also uncertain how they are allowed to regulate the drug.
