Illinois Police Departments Seeking Funds for Body Cameras

At least ten police departments in Illinois are turning to the Internet to acquire the funds to buy body cameras.  The website is run by Peter Austin Onruang, whose company provides the cameras to law enforcement agencies for 250-dollars each.  The “State Journal-Register” reports that individuals and businesses can make donations to the website, bodycameradonations.com, either for a specific department or to a general fund that’s applied to all the departments that have signed up.
