Additional Money For Illinois Courts Will Benefit Local Governments
(Springfield, IL) — Officials with Illinois’ judicial branch say they will use money from a budget increase to cover costs paid by local governments. It is the first budget increase for the judiciary in six years. It is also the first time in 30 years that the state’s courts will be able to fully reimburse counties for salaries and probation services.
