GM Recalling Pickups, Full-Size SUV’s Over Brake Issue
(Detroit, MI) — Brake issues are forcing General Motors to recall nearly three-point-five million pickup trucks and SUV’s. The automaker says the vehicles involve 2014 to 2018 Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Silverado, Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban and GMC Sierra and Yukon models. GM says the amount of brake vacuum created by the pump could weaken over time. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began investigating complaints in November of last year that resulted in two injuries. The government agency provided more data to GM in July regarding the issue. Dealers will reprogram the electronic brake control module.
