Reagan Boyhood Home, Visitor’s Center May Close
(Dixon, IL) — The boyhood home of Ronald Reagan may close its doors. Reagan’s Dixon home and Visitor’s Center is on the National Register of Historic Places, but gets no government funding. Operating expenses are about 70-thousand dollars, while the gift shop and tours bringing in only about 30-thousand a year. The landmark is seeking donations to keep the doors open.
