The LifeSpan Center will host “Stand Down,” a benefit for veterans, November 5th from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The day will include vendors, lunch, dial-a-ride tokens, eyeglass service, free haircuts, a quilt giveaway, and more. They’ll also be accepting donations of toiletries, non-perishable food, socks, and more to help fill “honor bags,” which will be given to area veterans. For more information, call 217-639-5150.
