Kroger To Sell Treated Avocados
(Cincinnati, OH) — A national grocery chain will be selling avocados that last longer. Beginning this week, Kroger will start selling avocados treated with a plant-based solution that helps slow down decay. The treated fruit will be available in eleven-hundred of Kroger’s nearly 28-hundred stores. The colorless, odorless solution will reportedly help the produce last twice as long as regular avocados. Kroger says it will sell the treated avocados for the same price as regular avocados.
