Centennial School Fights, Threat Deemed Unrelated
(Champaign, IL) — School officials say a series of fights that broke out at Centennial High School are unrelated to a social media threat made against the school. The principal said in an email that separate fights broke out among students Tuesday, with several staff members getting injured breaking them up. Police were notified of the fights and the threat. Officers showed an increased presence at the school earlier yesterday, addressing the threat that the school would be “shot up” that day. Investigation into both matters is continuing.
