Decatur Teaching Assistants Set To Strike
(Decatur, IL) — Teaching assistants in Decatur are set to begin a strike. The union will hit the picket lines today after missing yesterday’s deadline for reaching an agreement with the Decatur School Board. The school district is canceling special education classes while TAs are on strike. Preschool classes have been canceled for today. Some members of the Chicago Teachers Union will be coming down to join Decatur TAs on the picket line.
