Illinois Legislators Move Forward With Cap On Insulin Costs
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois legislators are moving forward with a bill to cap insulin costs for those with diabetes. The bill was approved by the Senate Insurance Committee yesterday and would cap co-payments for insulin at 100-dollars per month, regardless of the dosage. The cap would only apply to commercial insurance plans. If the bill passes, Illinois would be the second state to put a lid on insulin prices.
