ISP: Three Troopers’ Squad Cars Hit In Since Halloween
(Undated) — Illinois State Police says three squad cars have been hit since Halloween. Two cars were hit early yesterday morning on I-57 southbound of 119th in Chicago. ISP say both squad cars were parked on the shoulder with emergency lights on doing a traffic stop when another vehicle slammed into them. Two troopers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the driver was arrested for DUI. A third squad car was hit on Halloween on I-74 in Henry County. No injuries were reported in that crash.
