Pritzker Appealing For Assistance To Aid Flood Survivors
(Springfield, IL) — Governor J.B. Pritzker is appealing to the federal government to help survivors of this spring’s historic floods. The Pritzker administration has filed an appeal requesting the federal government reconsider its decision to deny assistance to residents impacted by flooding along the Mississippi and Illinois rivers. The state is also looking to include Lee County in the state’s existing public assistance disaster declaration.
