Authorities Warning Of Harsh Penalties After Another Abused Dog Found
(Champaign, IL) — Champaign police are warning of harsh penalties after a second abused dog has been found. A Tuscola woman brought a dog into a Douglas County animal shelter after it was found in a ditch between Villa Grove and Pesotum. The dog was alive and is being treated by vets. The discovery comes on the heels of a puppy being found in a cage floating on Champaign’s Kaufman Lake. The pup was named Poppy by vets and is in the custody of animal control.
