Vermilion County Treasurer Darren Duncan is running for Congress. The Republican and seventh generation Vermilion County farmer announced yesterday that he is seeking to replace John Shimkus in the 15th congressional district seat. Duncan calls himself a Reagan-style conservative who shares many ideas with Shimkus. He is running in the 2020 primary against fellow Republican Mary Miller.
