According to a press release from the Illinois State Police, another one of their squad cars got hit last night, Sunday, December 15, 2019, while the Trooper was stopped to help a motorist that slid off the snow covered road.
That makes 27 Illinois State Police Troopers struck this year. It was a marked ISP squad car with emergency lights activated. Trooper was not injured.
