Woman Charged In I-57 Crash That Killed Spouse And Injured State Trooper
(Riverdale, IL) — A Chicago woman is accused of unintentionally causing a crash that killed her spouse and injured a state trooper earlier this week in south suburban Riverdale. Camesia Miller is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Sindi Miller. State police say Sindi was driving a Nissan early Monday on I-57 near 138th Street when she lost control and was hit by a vehicle being driven by a trooper. Both vehicles than hit the left wall. Sindi died at the hospital and the trooper was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators say Camesia was sitting in the passenger’s seat of the Nissan and her actions unintentionally caused the wreck. She remains in custody at a hospital with injuries suffered in the crash.
