Severe Weather Preparedness Week Strengthens Readiness

(Undated) — It is Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Illinois. Officials say the event strengthens the state’s readiness ahead of severe weather season. Peak season is March through June, with May being the heaviest month for tornadoes in the year. Several organizations are collecting donations to assist victims of recent tornadoes in the Nashville area of Tennessee.
