Champaign-Urbana Officials Hold Virtual Town Hall On Coronavirus
(Champaign, IL) — Local Champaign-Urbana leaders and health officials are closely monitoring the COVID-19 coronavirus, providing real-time updates to residents. Wednesday night, local officials held a virtual town hall meeting to address what steps they’re taking amid the pandemic. A few patients from the area have been tested for coronavirus, but have all come back negative. If there were an outbreak in the area, local health officials say about 80-percent of the population could treat themselves while the remaining affected population would need hospital care.
