According to the Illinois State Police, a traffic crash occurred near Blizzard road in Clark County on Monday afternoon. Preliminary details state that a 2014 Toyota Corolla was traveling south on Illinois 1 near Blizzard Road in Clark County. The corolla, driven by Jessie Cooper, 26, of Terre Haute, Indiana, was disobeying Illinois Department of Transportation worker’s stop signs and continued into the construction zone. Cooper then crashed into a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Willie E. Sebastian, 65, of Terre Haute Indiana. Cooper, along with a passenger, Linda Hope, 25, of Paris, Illinois, were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Sebastian was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Cooper was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no insurance, disobeying a flagger, and DUI Drugs.
