Trump: Distribution Of Coronavirus Test Kits Increasing
(Washington, DC) — President Trump says distribution of coronavirus test kits is being stepped-up as much as possible. During a coronavirus briefing at the White House, Trump said the FDA will be taking new steps to help increase testing availability. He called the coronavirus an invisible enemy. Trump added, “We are getting to know it a lot better.” Trump noted that he spoke earlier with restaurant industry CEOs. More than a dozen states have ordered restaurants and bars to close their dining areas. Trump also predicted that economy will “come back very rapidly.”
Trump said the economy is “going to pop” once the coronavirus crisis is abated. Vice President Mike Pence touted a “whole of government approach” to the crisis. He said, if every American follows government guidelines, “the spread of the virus can be substantially slowed.” Pence also asked construction companies to donate N95 masks to hospitals and to forgo making additional orders for masks. Some hospitals are struggling to maintain and boost supplies of masks.
