National Spelling Bee Hopes To Reschedule

(Cincinnati, OH) — The Scripps National Spelling Bee is suspending the national finals, but says it hopes to be able to reschedule the event later this year. The event had Been scheduled for May at National Harbor in Maryland. In a statement Bee organizers say they will work with sponsors, spellers and ESPN to reschedule it. They made the decision to suspend the event after Maryland Governor Larry Hogan prohibited gatherings of 50 or more people.
