State Dental Society Recommends Emergency Treatment Only

(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois State Dental Society is recommending all dentists cease all in-person dental treatment except for emergencies, until further notice, because of the coronavirus. The society previously recommended postponing elective procedures. The ISDS says dental offices are considered an essential business under the state’s stay-at-home order. The society says dentists should be ready to help with dental emergencies that might pop up at hospitals.
