Confirmed case of COVID-19
The Fayette County Health Department is announcing the first positive case of COVID-19 in our County.
Symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough and shortness of breath. The Illinois Department of Public Health recommends everyone who is sick to stay at home and self-quarantine. If you need to be seen, call your primary care physician and tell them your symptoms. They will give you directions on what to do. Only go to the emergency room if you require emergency medical treatment. Just because you show signs of COVID-19 does not mean you need to be tested. Your healthcare provider will decide if you require testing.”
