ISP Trooper Injured After Squad Car Hit
(Elgin, IL) — An Illinois State Police trooper is injured being hit in a squad car while assisting a stranded semi. The trooper was parked Saturday behind the stranded vehicle on Interstate 290 westbound east of York Road in DuPage when a gray Nissan failed to yield and crashed into the back of the trooper’s squad car. No other drivers or vehicles were involved in the crash.
