The Shelby County Health Department has announced that a Shelby County resident has passed away due to complications with COVID-19. The individual was a 73-year-old male from Shelbyville. He tested positive for the virus on April 24th and was hospitalized at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon. Reports indicate the individual did not have any underlying health conditions.
